Groupware: VMS & Unix Groupware
The Groupware wars of the 1990's ended when Novell died and Microsoft started capturing the market with it's Exchange product. However, there is still a lot of competition one should be aware of if you aren't convinced Microsoft's solution is the best. Additionally, there is some fascinating history that includes Banyan Vines, Groupwise, DIGITAL's All-In-One, and many many others.
